NEW MOUNT PROSPECT FIRE STATION

The Mount Prospect Historical Society will provide the residents of Mount Prospect along with surrounding community members with an exclusive first look at the newly remodeled Fire Station 14 located at 2000 E. Kensington on May 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

This fundraising event enabled by the partnership of Attorney David Roe and the Mount Prospect Historical Society, allows community members to assist in the renovations and repairs of the 1896 Central School House. During this occasion visitors can enjoy and explore the newly remodeled Fire Station 14 with tours, an auction, giveaways, live entertainment, an open bar containing beer and wine and a dinner consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers and more.

According to Greg Peerbolte, the executive director of the Mount Prospect Historical Society, the 1896 Central School House is the location where the Mount Prospect Fire Department was created in 1913.
